Home  /  Airfields  /  Current Page

Rezekne airfield was built during soviet times and had scheduled flights from Riga. Today it still remains in a good shape and is used by Latvian Air Forces. Some An-2 aircraft are located there for parachute dropping operations. Next to the apron there is a TPS-117 Air Defense Radar which was installed in 2004 and contributes to the NATO Air Defence system. Although the airfield is located within Temporary reserved area (TRA 9) it is generally free for public use.
