Central aerodrome of Riga city with a long history. Aerodrome was created already during WW1, between the wars it was used both by civil and military aviation and after WW2 it served as Riga Central airport. Nowadays Spilve is used by General aviation; its use is limited to day VFR traffic with MTOW below 5.7t. Aerodrome is located very close to Riga downtown, its ATZ is located within Riga CTR, and without entering controlled airspace can be accessed only through points CLUB and BRIDGE. Please note that new AD procedures are in force by 29MAY2014; for complete information see aerodrome AIP.

    It’s has own frequency 126.725 MHz but almost not used
