Status updates for Aizpute and Skrunda

Today I had a chance to inspect two airfields in Kurzeme – Aizpute and Skrunda.

Both of these fields have a potential for usage. Aizpute has some sand and gravel on the RWY and a stack of wood at the S end of the RWY (this might be a temporary problem) but the approaches are clear of obstacles. Skrunda has small trees at both ends of the runway, generally preventing it from usage until removed.
