×General

Rezekne airfield was built during soviet times and had scheduled flights from Riga using An-2 aircraft. Today it still remains in a good shape and recently was used by Latvian Air Forces. Some An-2 aircraft were located there for parachute dropping operations, these operations were ceased few years ago. Next to the apron there is a TPS-117 Air Defense Radar which was installed in 2004 and contributes to the NATO Air Defence system. Although the airfield is located within Temporary reserved area (TRA 9) it is generally free for public use. An airshow will take place in Rezekne airfield in 28JUL2018.
